Paas

PAAS stands for PEP Authorisation API Service, and implements the PaaS (Pseudonymization as a Service) architecture. It consists of a concrete protocol and client/server libraries/applications for unlinkable pseudonymous data sharing using the PEP framework, implemented in the libpep software library. PAAS clients can send data to each other with end-to-end encryption, while central PAAS servers evaluate access rules to determine if the communication is allowed (authorization) and blindly perform pseudonymization. PAAS can be used to compartmentalize data processing, for example in microservice or service-oriented architectures, limiting the privacy impact of data leakage of one service. The PAAS server is written in Rust, client libraries are available in TypeScript and Rust (and Python coming soon).
